I also understand that this was one of the first calculators to be offered for Apple Products (going back to the early Macs). PCalc is the powerful choice for scientists, engineers, students, programmers, or indeed anybody looking for a feature rich calculator. However, what raises it above all the others and makes it that much more intriguing - is its obvious references to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - plus the rather fun Easter Eggs that exist within it - hint enter the About Screen.Ĭlearly I haven’t tried all the other Calculator Apps in the store - so I can’t say hand on heart this is the best but it’s hard to imagine one that matches it for both the serious ‘functions’ it provides plus the more ‘fun’ features.

The calculator itself is great, easy to customise and furthermore you can download a very informative instruction manual for it. There are many what are available in the App Store - but I chose this due to its range of scientific functions plus a number require a yearly subscription whilst this was available as a one-off payment and hence works out to be significantly cheaper.
